They will  naturally shift their foliage orientation towards the strongest source of light. Sometimes, if an Alocasia leaves look like they are 'bowing' or the foliage is making an 'umbrella' shape this can be an indicator that it is not getting enough light. In general, they will like to dry out roughly 3\/4ths of the way in the soil it is rooted in.
