They can handle some pretty intense direct sun! Typically this is because of their bog habitat. They need to stay consistently moist in the soil. So you can either water as the soil dies or even keep the plant in a saucer of water to ensure it does not dry out. If you choose to re-pot, do NOT use regular potting soil. Carnivorous plants need something that is going to be pretty void of nutrients as they get everything from the insects they eat.
